Association between body mass index and physical fitness index of freshman students in Ningxia universities

  • 摘要:   目的  了解宁夏高校不同体质量指数(BMI)等级大一学生体质健康水平,并探讨BMI与体能指数(PFI)的关联,为提高大学生体质健康水平提供参考依据。  方法  2024年11月,采用方便抽样和分层整群随机抽样相结合的方法,收集宁夏银川市4所高校2019—2023年16 631名大一学生体质健康测试数据,采用体能测试成绩Z分计算PFI,对大学生BMI和PFI的关系建立最小二乘法的非线性二次模型。  结果  男生BMI为(21.69±3.53)kg/m2,女生为(20.78±2.94)kg/m2。男生体能指标综合得分(69.86±9.25)低于女生(72.24±8.15),差异有统计学意义(t=-17.54);且男生各项体能指标(肺活量、坐位体前屈、立定跳远、引体向上/1 min仰卧起坐、1 000 m跑/800 m跑)不及格率均高于女生(χ2值分别为103.48,72.45,14.38,5 134.85,188.89)(P值均 < 0.01)。不同BMI等级间比较显示,男生在50 m跑、立定跳远、1 000 m跑、综合得分及PFI上均表现为正常体重组优于其余组别(F值分别为89.17,113.90,179.02,573.35,593.08);女生在50 m跑、坐位体前屈、800 m跑、综合得分及PFI上均表现为正常体重组优于其余组别(F值分别为10.67,19.58,96.45,294.05,183.45)(P值均 < 0.01)。大一学生BMI和PFI的关系呈现抛物线变化趋势,BMI居中的学生表现出较高的PFI,并且随着BMI的升高,PFI呈下降趋势(P值均 < 0.01)。  结论  宁夏高校大一男生体质健康水平低于女生,BMI等级与PFI存在关联性。应根据不同性别、不同BMI等级学生的体质特点,采取不同干预措施以改善大学生体质健康。
