Prof. Ma is the director of the Institute of Child and Adolescent Health of Peking University. He also serves as the director of Center for School Health/Child and Adolescent Health of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the chairman of Child and Adolescent Health Section of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, as well as a deputy team leader of Survey on Chinese Students’ Constitution and Health.

Prof. Ma’s research focuses on children’s growth and development, early prevention of adulthood diseases, prevention of students’ common diseases, and school health administration.
